#9953 closed crash (fixed)

Crash on NSRunInformationalAlertPanel() in +[AICorePluginLoader confirmPluginAtPath:]

Reported by: earthmkii Owned by: nobody
Milestone: Adium 1.3 Component: Adium Core
Version: Severity: normal
Keywords: Cc:
Patch Status:

When loading a plugin which triggers the confirmation dialog (first load from ~/Applications Support/Adium 2.0/Plugins), Adium crashes immediately after the dialog is displayed.

I can reproduce this on both PPC and Intel 10.5.3.

Ok, tried to reproduce this and I could not.
Here's what I did:

  1. Downloaded Andy's "ThiefCapture"
  2. Put it in the "Plugin"folder
  3. Started Adium.

This is on 10.4.11 PPC, 1.3svn.

Odd, that one crashes for me.

"Fix Your Last Input" "Adium Time Zone Plugin" and "PlainText Plugin"

all consistently crash for me in both 1.3svn and 1.2.5.

This only happens if the Adium User Profile selection dialogue is shown at startup.

Resolution: fixed
Status: newclosed

(In [23802]) AILoginWindowController now keeps itself around until its window finishes closing, preventing a crash if an alert dialogue is shown in response to an action which closes it, e.g. the plugin confirmation dialogue. Fixes #9953
