#9209 closed defect (fixed)

Moving a contact associated with more than one account to a new group results in the contact being moved for only one of the accounts

Description

When I move a Jabber contact I have on multiple Jabber accounts (reversed metacontact) to another group. Only on one account the contact is actually moved. In the contact info Adium knows that but it is not possible to change it there. If you change the group in the account(s) in another client like Psi, Adium will recognize these changes in the contact's info.

Version: 1.2.2b11.3svn

I have just confirmed this. Steps to reproduce (at least the easiest way I could find):

  1. Login with both a Jabber.org and a Gtalk account
  2. Add a the same Gtalk contact to both accounts
  3. Move the contact to another group than it starts out in
  4. Get Info on the contact and go to the tab that shows the group the contact is in

Notice that it will show the contact in the old group for one account, and the new group for the other.

(In [23431]) When moving a metacontact, move all its contained contacts on every account which currently has the contact listed at all rather than just one account per contact. Fixes #9209
