#7958 closed defect (fixed)

File Transfers window shows all incoming files as 128Kb files

Reported by: jeroen Owned by: nobody
Milestone: Adium X 1.1.3 Component: Service/MSN
Version: Severity: normal
Keywords: filetransfer Cc:
Patch Status:

Description

Steps to reproduce

  • Open Adium
  • Start conversation with an MSN contact
  • Receive file from that MSN contact

Expected Result

The file transfer picks up the correct filesize and displays that in the File Transfers window and progress bar. The succesful completion notification is shown in the chat window.

Actual Result

The File Transfers window shows all incoming files from MSN transfers as 128KB.

If the file is smaller than 128KB, the file transfer shows that it received the correct amount, but the file transfer remains open. This even though according to the sender it is finished, and the document itself has been succesfully received. The succesful completion notification in the chat window is never shown.

If the file is bigger than 128KB, the file transfer shows the correct received amount up to 128KB, after which it shows that it is finished. The succesful completion notification is later shown in the messaging window when the file is actually finished receiving.

Regression

The sending of files is not affected.

Additional Notes

The file transfers that are smaller than 128KB and were received completely, but remain open, cannot be cancelled, and trigger warnings when trying to quit Adium.

I can confirm this - it happened to me yesterday but I wasn't sure if it was simply that the files were small and there were network issues at the time. This affects svn as well.

This was p:#3095 and was fixed in p:[7b5a16e6ca65a8ccca846bc64c6e9606056d6d59] for libpurple 2.2.1 or 2.3.0, whichever the next version is.
