#2260 closed enhancement (fixed)

Request: separate "message received" and "message received (background)" events for multi-user chats

Reported by: Perc Owned by: nobody
Milestone: Adium 1.2 Component: None
Version: Severity: normal
Keywords: growl, events, multi-user Cc:
Patch Status:

It would be nice to be able to configure events for group chats separately. I, for example, don't want a growl notification every time someone says something in a group chat. Busy chats lead to lots of growl notifications piling up pretty fast.

I've only used group chats over MSN personally, but I guess that this feature request would apply to other protocols as well.

If we can add it easily for 1.0, let's do it, otherwise push it on.

I'd like this as well. It's annoying to get Growl notifs for noisy AIM group chats.

Anyone see any reason NOT to add them? "Group Chat Message Received" and "Group Chat Message Received (Background)" are what I'd probably set the names to.

Moving this to our group chat milestone. Someone's welcome to implement before then.
