#2060 closed defect (fixed)

Contacts list does not keep added users

Reported by: Owned by: nobody
Milestone: Adium X 1.0 Component: Service/Sametime
Version: Severity: major
Keywords: Cc:
Patch Status:

I use only Sametime. I add a new contact, and the person is found listed on our companies Sametime server. However every time I quit Adium and reopen, the contact list is blank and I must re-add the contacts.

I am using 0.86 newest version.

I have used your help forums, and per your website there should be a preferences folder located in the library... I cannot find this preference file.

The Adium Preferences files are in this location: Home folder -> Library -> Application Support -> Adium 2.0. Actual preferences are stored *under this folder*, in the path Users -> Default. (And *not* in Users -> Default directly under your hard drive.)

I have deleted the preferences and restarted and the contact list still does not keep my preferences...

Please check your contact list setting in Preferences->Accounts-><your sametime account>. Is it set to Load from Server or to Load to and Save From Server?

On the basis of my question above, unless the reporter claims otherwise, I'm considering this fixed as of [13959] -- there's no reason for the "Load from Server" option to exist at all, especially not as a default.

I still see this problem with 0.88. I have tried all 3 of the contact settings in the Account Options.

There is a crash reported in the cosole:

This is milestoned at 1.0; continued problems in 0.88 don't mean that the ticket should be reopened.

Your crash appears to likely be a result of a corrupt Address Book database; please open a separate ticket if you would like to discuss that further.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
