After several hours of use, the tabs on the chat window disappear
|Reported by:||mjmjmj||Owned by:||wixardy|
|Milestone:||Adium 1.5.10||Component:||Adium UI|
Provide a descriptive summary of the issue.
The tabs at the bottom of the chat window disappear. The chat sessions - both persistent group chat and personal conversations - are still active, and selecting the chat room or person name from the contacts list brings up the window, but it means that I'm not alerted to new messages as the tabs have disappeared.
Steps to reproduce
Detail the exact steps taken to produce the bug. Use the following format, each line with " 1." before it:
- Start adium, connect to persistent chats automatically
- Use computer for several hours with Adium running, look at it occasionally
- I think it only happens if I have a personal conversation active - normally I only use persistent group chats
- Notice that some of the tabs disappear and swap as I change active conversation tab
The tabs should not disappear!
The tabs at the bottom of the chat window disappear and swap. When I try to return to the chat by clicking on the person or group chat name in the contacts window, the tab reappears in the chat window. Sometimes other tabs appear too.
Describe circumstances where the problem occurs or does not occur, such as software versions and/or operating system versions.
I've only noticed this over the past two weeks. I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 with Adium 10.5.4.
I think the problem only happens after I have started a personal conversation. I have four persistent group chats set to automatically start when Adium is started.
Any additional information, such as debug logs or crash logs should be attached. Here, put any information that didn't fit in the above categories.
I connect to an XMPP server and a Sametime server. The persistent group chats are hosted by the XMPP server, and I've just checked that all of the people I am currently talking to are using XMPP, not Sametime clients.
