#1302 closed enhancement (cantreproduce)

on connect show service in Growl notification

Reported by: Owned by: nobody
Milestone: Component: Service/Other
Version: Severity: minor
Keywords: service, growl, notification Cc:
Patch Status:

it would be nice if the growl notification when an account (dis-)connects would show what service it is. I have an account with almost every service. I try to keep the same username and icon on every account.

When a service falls, it's nice to be notified of the service that fell, and not just of the fact that a nickname disconnected.

I think this would be a great feature, too. I, too, often connect (and disconnect) with several accounts, many of which have the same alias and user icon. It'd be helpful to see which service I was connecting to.

Probably needs to be changed to be more generic (sounds, alerts, other things) but this might be cool in a later release.

I think this is a good idea - and needs to be completed as a generic function for sending growl notifications as well as pop up alerts so that they show all info that a user might need (like which service it's for!) I think it best to use #6044 for this until someone actually starts working on one or the other - at that time this can be revived for specifics of growl.
