Email notification don't always come to the foreground

Description

Sometimes the email notifications don't always come to the foreground especially when I use another application. I sometimes have to use Bring to the foreground to make sure I am not missing anything. Growl 1.x is not helping unfortunately.

In Advanced pref, Adium is not set to be hidden.

Mac OS X 10.4.11, G3 B&W

See #7923

When the notifications come to the foreground while typing a message they can be dismissed accidentally and it interrupts typing a message to a contact. When it shows in the background people might miss it... there seems to be no happy medium! Which is why that ticket suggests allowing the user to choose whether they want a dialog or Growl (but not both). You can choose a sticky notification if you prefer.

There have been some improvements to the handling of dialog windows in 1.2 (when it is released) as well.
