Don't set the milestone if you are not a developer. Thanks.

This doesn't make sense and isn't our problem.

I think it makes sense, I've had this problem before (I believe). When you're using Adium and sending someone a group chat invitation, for whatever reason, they might not get the chat invitation if they're an ichat user. However, if an AOL Instant Messeenger user sends a group chat invitation to an ichat user, it'll probably work.

adding clarification; milestoning to 1.5 (our 'group chat edition').

The solution is not to send an empty invite. If you send an empty invite as trillian/aim user, the iChat User will get something like "The User invited you to a chatroom" or something like that as message.

If you send an empty Adium-Invite, the Invite is in fact empty and iChat will receive nothing. So if you invite someone, write something random into that textfield and I'm pretty sure that the message will be received properly.

It would be easier if Adium had a standard-message or something like that in that textfield.

(In [14786]) The core can now supply a default chat invitation message; this is used in the invite to chat window as well as in the oscar join chat view if a message isn't specified.

If we don't send any message at all, the invitation may not be considered valid -- for example, iChat drops AIM group chat invitations with no message.
