"Check spelling as you type" doesn't stick

Reported by: http://naib.webhop.org/emailme.php Owned by: nobody
Milestone: Adium X 1.0 Component: Adium UI
Version: 0.82 Severity: minor
Keywords: check spelling type preference Cc:
Patch Status:

Description

The "Check spelling as you type" preference doesn't stay disabled in a number of contexts: Creating status messages through cmd-y / cmd-opt-y. Creating/editing status messages in the preferences. Editing an account's profile in the preferences (AIM in my case). Text (I tried "speak specific text") in events in the preferences.

It /does/ stay disabled in the message window - which is the most important - but the others (particularly away messages) would be nice.

Change History

  • Milestone set to Adium X 0.85

I can confirm this in [13279].

comment:2 Changed 7 years ago by evands

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to fixed

(In [13387]) Moved continuous spell checking persistency into AIMessageEntryTextView so that any textview using this subclass gets and sets the Adium-wide continuous spell checking preference toggled by the user. Fixes #768

  • Milestone changed from Adium X 0.85 to Adium X 0.90

These changes were much easier with the .9x trunk; unless someone really wants to merge them back to .8x somehow, I'm changing the milestone to reflect when the fix will be available.
