Description

Anytime a message is sent to a buddy on MSN it is not delivered and returns this error: Could not send; a connection error occurred.

Messages that are sent to me @ MSN are not delivered and no error is returned in the actual MSN app.

I experienced the same situation today. After some time I found out that disabling the option Connect via HTTP made my account work again.

  • Do you use MSN with the Connect via HTTP option?

You can find that option in Preferences -> Accounts --> Edit your MSN account -> tab Options.

  • If possible in your network setup, is switching this option off also the fix for your problem?

This looks like my screen only the HTTP option did not help.

datiger: you must uncheck HTTP connections then restart Adium. If that fails then perhaps you're behind a firewall which requires the HTTP option which is currently not working.
