Description
So i reinstalled Mac OS X, installed Adium and placed the "Logs" folder where it belongs. If i open the Chat Transcript Viewer i can see all the logs, but the search feature will only search in the content Adium have created since it was installed. Therefore, it won't search in past logs.

Try the current AdiumBeta to make sure that won't be enough to take care of it. If it doesn't work you can try forcing the log viewer to to reindex all your logs by deleting ~/Library/Caches/Adium/Default/Logs.index and ~/Library/Caches/Adium/Default/DirtyLogs.plist. They should index pretty quickly and as long as everything is in the right place. Let me know if this resolves your problem.

Indeed. I found this tip on a forum and it did work. All my chats are searchable now. Still, i think this solution is not really the kind of solution anyone could do. I propose a way to re-index the Chat Transcript Viewer. Either from a menu command or a button on it's window...

As far as adding the option to reindex (I had suggested this as well), we have discussed this minorly and it was decided that there just aren't enough situations that this might occur to warrant adding another button or menu item. Maybe in the future this will occur, but probably not soon.

Any idea on how to fix this?...
