CRASH: option+tab in a chat window

Reported by: wxs Owned by: nobody
Milestone: Component: Service/AIM
Version: Severity: normal
Keywords: Cc:
Patch Status:

Description

Using 0.89.1 on OS X 10.4.8 I can crash Adium by simply opening a chat window and hitting option+tab keys. It works with any number of tabs open in the chat window.

I have not tried it with default settings though I have only changed the Dock Icons, Status Icons, Color Theme, Window Style and List Layout in the Appearance options. This is using the AIM protocol.

The console.app output is below...

Monday, December 4, 2006 10:11:55 PM US/Eastern

2006-12-04 22:12:01.709 Adium[414] -[NSTextStorage attribute:atIndex:effectiveRange:] called with out-of-bounds index. For apps linked on Tiger this will raise an exception. For earlier apps it will produce this one-time warning and continue with existing behavior (which is undefined). atos cannot examine process 414 for unknown reasons, even though it appears to exist.

2006-12-04 22:12:01.914 Adium[414] Caught exception: NSRangeException - * -[NSConcreteTextStorage attribute:atIndex:effectiveRange:]: Range or index out of bounds

2006-12-04 22:12:01.915 Adium[414] Launching the Adium Crash Reporter because an exception of type NSRangeException occurred: * -[NSConcreteTextStorage attribute:atIndex:effectiveRange:]: Range or index out of bounds

It's my first bug report to Adium so let me know if you want any more information.
