fixed with the new get info for contact... option
Uhm, while it is possible to get the Info window up for those users (well, it was before), Adium doesn't seem to retrieve information. Under the Info tab, the Status and Profile boxes remain blank. As soon as I add the person, I can repeat the same exact steps as before to pull up the Info box, however this time, the Status and Profile boxes are now filled in with their info. This is extremely annoying, as I frequently have people contacting me, and I typically just like to know a little bit about the person when talking to them, without adding them to my list (I don't want to keep adding people who I don't plan on talking to again, and some people, I just plain don't want to add in the first place).

This ticket is nonspecific and has been closed. Your problem, hellmark, is specific to the protocol on which you're looking up contacts; please open a ticket for your issue, with information such as the messaging service used.

Evands, but if its happening on 4 or 5 services. AIM, Google Talk, ICQ, MSN, and Yahoo all show this issue. I find it a bit hard to believe that they all have that same problem, when Gaim and other similar clients don't have that issue. Maybe if it was AIM and ICQ being the only ones, I'd say yeah, possible, since they share the same protocol, but that doesnt explain the issue on the other three. Due to not being able to find a single protocol yet that allowed for this, thats why I used this ticket, since its non-specific.

Yes there is. cmd+n, then typ the name, then get info. But this is kinda drawn out. Setting to 1.0 to give this more thought.
