Description
In the "advanced" section for "address book", unchecking "consolidate contacts listed in the card" will unbind every metacontact on the contacts list.

Throwing this on .90, but seriously, shouldn't metas be either on or off, and if on, and Address Book is on, then metas get made, tough cookies? I'm with Evan, kill the pref.

Problem is that there's no "off" for metacontacts... you make them or you don't... the only thing done automatically with metacontacts is from the address book cards.

(In [13960]) Improved the wording of the automatically-created-metacontacts address book preference, and added a confirmation when turning it off explaining that all existing meta contacts will be unconsolidated. Closes #139
This is correct behaviour, but perhaps a badly worded checkbox. Consolidate contacts means the same thing as create metabuddies. When you turn it off you are turning off metabuddies, so the fact that you then see them unbinding would indicate that the feature is working :-)
Suggest either closing as invalid or changing checkbox wording to be more descriptive.
