Adium 1.3.2 cannot connect to MSN - error "Unable to retrieve MSN Address Book"

Using mac OS 10.5. adium 1.3.2 worked fine before. Today when I tried to run adium, it refused to connect to MSN. I then opened preference --> account, it showed that unable to retrieve MSN address book.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure this is the reason? It's been almost 24 hours and the problem still persists. I tried aMSN and MSN for mac, both of them are good.

aMSN and MSN for mac uses an older version of the msn protocol than Adium does and aren't affected.

I'm also having this problem; I tried Microsoft Messenger earlier and it connected without any problem, but I had to download an update before I could use it. I suspect they've changed something in the interface.

I do have the same problem, will it be fixed or I have to change back to aMSN or Messenger for Mac :-(

Yes, having the same problem here... with a Black Macbook running Leopard 10.5.6 on Adium 1.3.2 and Adium 1.3.3b1... sooo annoying!

It seems that it was just a temporary problem after all. However the proper way to handle this will probably be implemented so this won't happen again in the future.
