File transfers with WLM 2009 users fail

I use Mac OS X 10.4.11 and I use Adium version 1.3.2 I am unable to receive or send any file via my msn account while I use Adium. I doubled checked my firewall, and ensured it is set in the "off position". In the Adium preferences I checked in my msn account set up, in the option tab, that "connect via HTTP" was not selected, that msn is not connecting via a proxy either. my msn account is using login server "messenger.hotmail.com" Port 1863.

I have a similar or identical problem:

I also cannot recieve or send files anymore. But only since the other users started to update to Windows Live Messenger 2009. There is no entry in the Mac OS Logfile when another user tries to send a file. I do not see a notification when other users try to send me a file when they use WLM 2009, however until version 2008 it worked fine.

When I try to send a file - the other user DOES see the notification and can accept it - however Adium only shows it as "Waiting for other user to accept" and does not start the transfer.

When I abort the transfer, it does show on the other users side - and results in the following (twice repeated) log entry:

[0x0-0x16016].com.adiumX.adiumX[205] ** (process:205): CRITICAL **: purple_notify_close_with_handle: assertion `handle != NULL' failed

I do have Adium 1.3.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.6.

Try 1.3.3b3 from AdiumBeta. It should fix file transfer issues with WLM 2009 users. :)
