New Update has Changed my Keychain

Description

Hi, I've downloaded the update for my version of Adium and now it won't connect to yahoo messenger. This happened the last time I downloaded it and I deleted the keychain but this time that didn't work. Please help I use this for work and need to get reconnected. I won't be update my adium anytime soon because of this continuing problem.....thanks!

The system should ask you to update the keychain when you first run the new version. If you select "always allow" everything should just work. If you select "deny" then you can manually give Adium permission to use it in Keychain Access.app:

  1. Open /Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access.app
  2. Select the account name in the list. In your case, it should be named "Yahoo.<account name>".
  3. Get info on that item and select the Access Control tab.
  4. Make sure "Confirm Before Allowing Access" is selected, and that Adium appears in the "Always allow..." list below it.
    • If it does not, you can manually add it.

If that doesn't work, you can try "Keychain First Aid" from the Keychain Access.app's application menu.

If that still doesn't work, we'll have to get some more information. Either way, let us know if this works or doesn't.

It is confirmed before allowing access but it's still not working. I ran keychain first aid as well. This even messed with my yahoo email log in. Should I restart my computer or something else? Adium asked me over 8 times to log in not taking my password. I am on a mac.

I know of course your not but I've been sitting here since noon trying to figure out what's wrong because I need it to do work. Please don't forget about me, please help

This is not a support ticket system - this is for bug tracking only. As nobody is able to reproduce this, it's very likely not a bug with Adium, therefore I suggest visiting us on IRC or posting in the  forums for some help.
