Disable psychic mode while away

I'd like to request the ability or option to disable psychic mode while away. Here's the circumstances that make me want to do this:

Having multiple IM clients across different computers means they each will show the messages and pop up the window. I often set my desktop away when I'm using my laptop, so it's not cluttered with Windows and making IM noises while I'm on my desktop. If you have one away client and one active client logged in, AIM usually will not send the message to the away client. However, it sends the Typing notification out to all clients, meaning with psychic mode on, it pops up the IM window while away, but it never gets a message. The user is also stuck with the typing notification until you come back and close the window.

I know this is a bit of an odd or possibly non-standard request, I would just like to put it out there for consideration.
