MSN User icons don't update, or take forever to update

I switched to using SVN builds (from previously using 1.3beta3) when I noticed msn-pecan had been added instead of the default libpurple msn plugin. Since then, when I first logged in, all my cached msn user icons did not display. I initially thought there was some problem with them not working at all, but after a number of minutes, one of my buddies icon's finally displayed. A long while later, another one updated, going on in this fashion for hours. Eventually, most were displayed, but there are several that just simply do not show their user icon no matter how long it is left.

They all worked fine in 1.3beta3. Currently using revision 24087.

Get a debug log that captures the event of getting info on a contact whose icon does not display. In my case, it was a slow retrieval process (as I believe is expected), but I now have all the icons of those contacts who had icons before. Are you positive that those that aren't showing up definitely have icons set?

I attached the debug log. I'm not entirely certain it's what you asked for, but it is what happened in the debug window as I right-clicked a contact with no icon (for which there should be one) and selected Get Info.

I replaced the contact with xxxxxxxx@… and myself with yyyyyyyyy@…
